Homemade Falafels

About the Recipe

This salad is simply soul food. It’s what you think about when you think of wholesome, nutritious, full of flavour and leaving you feeling energised, rejuvenated and sustained. You guys NEED to try out this recipe!

Ingredients


1 tin chickpeas (400g) rinsed


1/2 cup cooked green pees


2 garlic cloves


1/2 tsp cumin


1.5 tbsp runny tahini


1 tbsp olive oil


4 tbsp oat flour


Generous amount of salt & pepper


Sesame seeds, to roll the falafels in

Preparation

Combine all ingredients into the bowl of a food processor.


Process until combined but not too mushy.


Roll into balls and dip in sesame seeds.


Spray them with extra virgin olive oil spray and bake in the oven for 45 mins on 200*C or in an Air Fryer for 20 minutes on 200*C.


Makes 10-12 falafels. Store in airtight container in the fridge or put in freezer to use later in the year!
