About the Recipe
This is one of the easiest recipes to make and it tastes absolutely delicious! This chocolate tart is gluten free and vegan, and is super rich in flavour. It’s the perfect ‘healthy birthday treat’ or just an indulgent after dinner dessert. Try it out this weekend, you won’t regret it ;)
Ingredients
FILLING:
3/4 of a 400ml coconut milk tin
300g dark chocolate
BASE:
2.5 cups almond meal
1/2 cup cacao powder
1/3 cup maple syrup
3 tbsp melted coconut oil
Preparation
1. Heat coconut milk in a saucepan until smooth. Add in chocolate until melted and it becomes a thick consistency. Set aside.
2. In a bowl, whisk ‘base’ ingredients together. Pour into lined tart tin and press down and around the tin well with your fingers.
3. Pour chocolate filling on top of base and evenly spread.
4. Sprinkle with salt and set in fridge for a few hours!
